Several shots were fired, three people were injured: After this incident outside a fast-food restaurant in Oberhausen, the police temporarily arrested a 40-year-old man.

He is said to have been present at the act on Saturday evening, but did not shoot, as prosecutors and police announced on Sunday.

The 40-year-old is currently in police custody.

He was arrested in Gelsenkirchen late Saturday evening.

The officers are still looking for the suspected shooter.

He is said to be a 51-year-old man from Essen.

Injured are out of danger

A 49-year-old man was seriously injured in the shooting.

He suffered a shot in the stomach and was in mortal danger in the meantime, as a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor said.

After an emergency operation, he is now out of danger.

Another man was reportedly injured in the arm and a woman in the leg.

Their lives were not in danger.

Investigators assume that the injured are not accidental victims.

According to initial findings, there is said to have been a meeting with the 51-year-old.

That's when the shots are said to have been fired.

According to previous findings, there was initially a physical altercation between the two groups.

It may have been about business matters, said the spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office.

According to the information, a search has already taken place on the suspected shooter.

However, the officers did not find the 51-year-old.
