While jogging in Bercy Park, the Serbian tennis champion, currently in the capital for the Rolex Paris Masters, stopped to help a woman carry her suitcase.

It is a demonstration of elegance and humility that took place in the gardens of Bercy this Sunday.

Like the gratin of world tennis, Novak Djokovic has been present in Paris since Saturday October 29 to defend his title at the Rolex Paris Masters.

While he was quietly jogging in the Parc de Bercy, not far from the AccorHotels Arena, the former world number 1 spotted a woman struggling to carry her imposing suitcase.

The 35-year-old Serb then offered to lend him a hand.

And the tennis champion to lift the luggage and carry it a good distance, with long strides.

The images were posted on Twitter by a certain @iamjomoreira, who wrote: "It's a very classy gesture on his part and proves that no matter who you are and how much you touch in life, you have to know how to stay humble".

The video has so far been viewed nearly 200,000 times.

21st Grand Slam title

After a complicated start to the year - the tennis player had notably been expelled from Australia the day before the Open following a controversy over his refusal to be vaccinated against Covid - Novak Djokovic is trying to end his season in beauty.

He won his 21st Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, as well as the Tel Aviv and Astana Opens.

However, he was forced to withdraw from the US Open and two other tournaments in America, again due to his refusal to get vaccinated.
