(ANSA) - CAIRO, 07 NOV - One-hour meeting between Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President AbdelFattah El-Sisi, on the sidelines of the COP27 world climate summit.
The meeting gave President Meloni an opportunity to raise the issue of respect for human rights and to underline Italy's strong focus on the cases of Giulio Regeni and Patrick Zaki, reads a note from PalazzoChigi.
For his part, al-Sisi expressed his "aspiration" for the visit of the Italian premier to Egypt to give a "new impetus" to relations between Rome and Cairo.
