The couples requesting the test were informed by Assuta that they have a high risk of involvement in the case.

The Asta embryo failure case does not subside: four more couples were informed by Asta that they have a high chance of being involved in the exchange of embryos.

The couples filed a claim today for a genetic test to clarify family ties.

The lawyers representing the patients said: "The District Court has already accepted and determined that many couples do not know their own souls, and that they should be given the remedy of removing doubts regarding genetic affiliation.

The voice of the blood cannot be silenced and suppressed.

Asuta's blatant failures have serious consequences, and the victims who turn out have the right to know - if they are the victims, what happened to their embryos that they obtained through grueling treatments, and if the baby that was born is their daughter."

About a week ago, we published that a request for a first class action against the Assuta network of hospitals, and specifically against Assuta Hospital in Rishon Lezion, had been filed.

The lawsuit was filed by A., a resident of Tel Aviv who underwent fertility treatments (IVF) in February 2021, and it was filed demanding financial compensation on behalf of "everyone who was treated with in vitro fertilization at Asuta's hospitals from September 2015 to September 2022."

The claim was submitted to the Central District Court in Lod by attorney Nofer Tal and Galit Kerner.

According to the lawsuit, with the discovery of the affair, "tens of thousands of women and men fell into a nightmare, great anxiety gripped them that their children were not their biological children as they believed, or that they did not carry the genetic load they believed they carried in the case of egg or sperm donation", and all this when Assuta declares On its website that "tens of thousands of children have been born as a result of the fertilization treatments at Assuta's fertilization units, with Assuta's two units in Ramat Hay'il and Rishon Lezion performing about a third of the IVF treatments in Israel, with pregnancy rates that are among the highest in Israel and similar to the success rates of the leading units in the world."
