After an accident, unsightly scenes occurred on the A9 near Leipzig.
According to consistent media reports, the waiting cars did not form a rescue lane, so the emergency services had to walk to the scene of the accident.
They are said to have been badly insulted.
The accident happened around 7 a.m. Monday morning.
According to a police report, the 19-year-old driver of a van had left the road with his vehicle and collided with the guardrail, whereupon the car overturned and ended up in the middle of the road.
A long traffic jam quickly formed behind the scene of the accident.

The driver of the accident was finally rescued with minor injuries, according to the police statement.
An ambulance made it to the scene of the accident on the opposite direction of the freeway and took the man to the hospital.
Forming a rescue lane at the scene of the accident was apparently difficult because the roadway is narrower than normal due to a construction site.
However, according to a spokeswoman, it is not impossible.
"In the worst case, forming a rescue lane can save lives," warns the police in their statement.
