(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 14 - On Acciaierie Italia (Ex Ilva) the "government is in the field, we await responses from the company".
It can be read in a note by the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso.
At the end of some conversations activated since Saturday with the company, the public shareholder and other members of the government to deal with the dossier, he agreed with the governor of Puglia Michele Emiliano a meeting to be held in Rome next Thursday.
On the same day, the Minister will also meet the representatives of the national trade unions, as per their request.
At the same time - explains the note - they are already expecting in the meeting of the board of directors tomorrow concrete responses for the induced and for the workers, in the face of a decision that has rightly aroused bewilderment, all the more for the modalities in which it was announced, absolutely unacceptable.
The Ministry points out that nothing had been announced by the company in the meetings that the same Minister had had in recent days with the CEO and President of Acciaierie d'Italia, as well as with the public shareholder, precisely in order to address the company's problems also with reference to the public resources already allocated and to the new measures just approved, such as those relating to gas companies, in the context of a program that gives absolute certainty on the productive and ecological conversion of the company and therefore on the future of the largest steel plant in Europe.
