For their first collaboration, the duo and the French singer sign a title with eighties electro pop sounds. Rayon Vert is the second single from L'Emprise, Mylène Farmer's forthcoming twelfth album.

Only 10 days left before the release of

L'Emprise

, Mylène Farmer's long-awaited twelfth album, scheduled for November 25th.

For this new disc, the icon of French song has collaborated with Moby, Woodkid and AaRON, who between them sign eleven of the fourteen titles of the album.

The red-haired singer had, last September, published an enigmatic first clip for the title

À Tout Ever

, in which she was transformed into an extraterrestrial creature floating in a futuristic environment.

For

Rayon Vert,

her crystalline voice is highlighted on soaring electro pop sounds, reminiscent of the 80s. A piano voice version was also recorded by the singer and will be available on the album.

In the clip released on November 15, Mylène Farmer and Simon Buret, the singer of AaRON (known for the song

U-Turn (Lili)

which accompanied the 2006 film

I'm fine, don't worry

) are reunited on images by François Hanss, who has already worked as an assistant to Laurent Boutonnat on the clips for

Libertine

and

Tristana

, and as a director on

and

sidereal journey

The two artists are aboard a spaceship with a refined aesthetic that is heading towards an unknown planet.

In a reference to Jules Verne, a game of chiaroscuro reveals a providential green ray.

Mylène Farmer and Simon Buret hold hands then disappear from the ship.

“Nothing holds us back”, they sing then.

The band AaRON is credited with the song's lyrics, which evoke the "fear of the void, alone on the asteroid", in a mysterious message of emancipation.

Rayon Vert

should be part of the titles that Mylène will perform during her next tour entitled

Nevermore (

"never again",

It will start on June 3, 2023 at the Pierre Mauroy stadium in Lille;

eleven dates in eight different cities in France, Switzerland and Belgium are planned, several of which are already complete.
