For the fourth day, the activities of the youth camps launched by the National Union of Syrian Students within the “Think for Syria” initiative continued in the university campus in Barzeh, Damascus.

The event aims at the participation of university students from various governorates and specializations in developing their society and decision-making. The cultural role of change, building the individual and society, and the vision of youth to develop the higher education system.

In a statement to SANA reporter, lawyer Osama Zain El-Din, the leader of the youth role in local development and creating non-traditional income-generating opportunities, indicated that through the discussions, the ideas and visions of young people were merged and compared with each other to come up with a unified vision in the form of a project to be presented to decision-makers and implemented in the future after obtaining obtaining supportive of him.

A graduate student at the University of Aleppo, lawyer Aqil Badawi, and Ayat Haffar, a graduate of agricultural engineering majoring in food sciences, explained that the goal of the camp is to enhance the role of youth in local development, reconstruction and securing job opportunities for young graduates through common points among students of the governorates, which are highlighted to benefit from and apply to become pilot project.

Batool Qadoun, an electrical energy engineering student at Tishreen University, explained that participating in the camp helps in searching for solutions to help young people finance their projects and implement their ideas, pointing out that she submitted a proposal to generate electric energy in clean and environmentally friendly ways through renewable energies, tides, waves, and wind energy. Electric energy is the basis for any future projects that serve all segments of society, while Lynn Ahmed, a nursing graduate, indicated that the participation aims to network young people with all governmental and non-governmental institutions, and to search for someone who embraces their capabilities and finances their projects.

Engineer Ola Abdullah, leader of the Axis camp, activating the role of culture as a means of change to build the role of the individual and society, indicated the importance of activating the role of culture and preserving tangible and intangible heritage, while a member of the national team to facilitate the sessions, student Basil Ibrahim from Lattakia, pointed out the role of students in promoting cultural heritage and increasing interest in it .

On the 15th of this month, the National Union of Syrian Students launched the activities of the third phase of the “Think for Syria” initiative, with the participation of 100 male and female undergraduate and postgraduate students from various universities, and it will continue until the 20th of this month.
