Recall of yeast cubes: risk of injury from metal parts - two manufacturers affected

Alnatura and the Agrano company are recalling their yeast cubes.
The reason for this are metal parts that could be in the products.
Munich – At the beginning of the corona pandemic in 2020, yeast was an absolute shortage product.
Dry yeast and cube yeast were sold out almost everywhere and were not available for a long time.
But now the purchase of two yeast cube products is not recommended.
Alnatura yeast and Riegeler organic cube yeast are being recalled.
A warning is given before use because metal parts in the product could cause injury.
Yeast recall at Alnatura: metal debris found in a product
The organic market Alnatura is recalling its yeast cubes in the interests of preventive consumer protection.
Affected are products with a best-before date (MHD) of November 20, 2022. Metal abrasion was found in a pack of yeast cubes, as the company announced in a press release.
Customers who have a pack with the mentioned (best before) are asked not to use it and to bring it back to a store.
The product is replaced by Alnatura.

All commercially affected products have already been taken off the shelf, the company said.
Products with a different MHD are not affected by the recall.
Recall of Riegeler organic cube yeast: warning of metal shavings
In addition to the Alnatura cube yeast, the yeast cubes from the company Agrano GmbH & Co. KG were also affected.
The manufacturer is recalling the Riegeler organic cube yeast and Bioreal organic cube yeast.
Here, too, there could be metal parts in the products with the BBD November 20, 2022.
According to the company, there was a technical defect.
It cannot be ruled out that metal shavings one to two millimeters in size got into the product.
It warns of a risk of injury.
