(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 18 - "I am convinced that it should not be the single case that gives birth to a legislative initiative or a parliamentary commission, however the topic posed deserves a lot of attention because especially after the Palamara case there was a completely inadequate reflection on the fundamental theme of the independence of the judiciary".
This was stated by the president of the Senate Justice Commission Giulia Bongiorno, commenting on the request of the vice president of the Chamber Giorgio Mulè (FI) to set up a commission of inquiry on the political use of justice after Berlusconi's acquittal from the 'Ruby-ter' trial.
