After three films with Tim Allen as Santa Clause, Disney+ now has the series "The Santa Clauses", which is called "Santa Clause - Die Serie" in Germany, in the run-up to Christmas.
Many old acquaintances from the film return and there is classic Allen humor.
Both positive and negative...
With "Hör' mal wer da hammert" and "Last Man Standing" Tim Allen has put together two long-lived and thus quite successful sitcoms.
He also helped shape two successful comedy film franchises, Toy Story and Santa Clause.
So why not combine both?
The result is The Santa Clauses on Disney+, a sequel to the three Santa films that last hit theaters in 2006 but have grossed millions of dollars worldwide.
You already know a lot of the actors.
In addition to Allen, Elizabeth Mitchell ("Lost", "V", "Once Upon a Time") is also present as Mrs. Clause aka Carol Calvin.
David Krumholtz ("Numb3rs") reprises his role as Bernard, while Kal Penn ("House") makes his franchise debut as a successful businessman of the likes of Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos.
Also joining the cast are: Austin Kane as Cal, Devin Bright as Noel, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra, Laura San Giacomo as La Befana, Matilda Lawler as Betty and Rupali Redd as Grace.
