Surprising news for the buyers of the apartments in the 'Free Place' project in Rehovot

- even though they did not benefit from insurance, the buyers will receive 70% of the value of their investment.

After nerve-wracking years, it seems that the buyers of the apartments and offices in the flagship project of the Perry Real Estate company have reached a happy ending and a safe shore. As you may remember, the Perry Real Estate company went into insolvency several years ago, and its owner, the late Eldad Perry, was brutally murdered about a year ago.

According to the settlement agreement, a leading real estate company will purchase the project's land for approximately NIS 370 million, a purchase that will finance a significant refund to the approximately 800 buyers of the apartments and offices who were left empty-handed.

Prominent in the leadership of the move were: the trustees of the 'Fruit Real Estate' company, attorneys Ehud Gindes and Gonen Kestenbaum, the Hamburger-Evron attorney's office, and attorneys Guy Sarosi and Uriel Zaira, who represent dozens of buyers in the project.

These days, the

Honorable Judge Irit Weinberg-Notovich

, from the District Court of the Central District of Lod, approved the arrangement reached by the trustees of the company with a recognized real estate company, according to which the real estate company will purchase the land on which the project was supposed to be built, for approximately NIS 370 million .

According to the approved arrangement, the purchase money will be distributed so that NIS 170 million of it will be transferred to compensate the 800 apartment buyers in the complex - a refund that represents about 70% of the cost of their investment.

The rest of the funds will be transferred to the Expo Fund, which was a partner of the Peri Real Estate company in the project, and to the high sales expenses of the transaction.

Attorney Guy Sarosi and Attorney Uriel Zaira, who represent dozens of apartment buyers in the project,

claim that this is a benevolent and surprising arrangement, because most Although the apartment buyers at the time transferred hundreds of thousands of shekels to the 'Peri Realdan' company, they were not given any security for their investment, and for the benefit of none of them was a warning noted in the tabu,

According to them, the collapse of 'Peri Real Estate' played the cards, and the apartment buyers rightly feared that their entire investment, amounting to hundreds of thousands of shekels, went down the drain: "The project itself, which was the flagship project of the company 'Peri Real Estate', did not begin construction Never before, and despite the many promises made by the company's owners to the apartment buyers, those buyers have in fact become the cash engine of '

Peri

Real Estate', and this as part of the irresponsible and illegal conduct of the company's managers.

" Place' was supposed to be built at the northern entrance to the city of Rehovot near the train station, the Faculty of Agriculture and the Weizmann Institute - a very attractive location, which turned the land, which was left orphaned with the company's collapse, into a highly sought-after property.
