As per tradition, US President Joe Biden pardoned a turkey at the White House ahead of Thanksgiving which is celebrated in the United States on Thursday 24 November.
"I still don't know what the verdict will be," Biden joked before granting "presidential pardon."
"The votes have been counted, there are no frauds.
The only red wave this year will be the cranberry sauce that my dog Commander will spread on the floor", said the president again, making fun of the results of the Midterms at which the Republican party , whose color is red, has not achieved the success anticipated by the polls.
Exceptionally this year, for the first time in 75 years, there were two lucky birds, Chocolate and Chip.
The ceremony was accompanied by a rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd's world famous song 'Free Bird'.
"Chocolate is my favorite flavor of ice cream," Biden said as he thanked the two turkeys.
