The preparation of the recipe for delicate snowballs is easy, quick and fits perfectly into Advent

  • Beat the butter and powdered sugar until creamy and add the vanilla sugar and salt.

  • Add the flour and almonds to the bowl as well and mix the ingredients into an even dough.

  • Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest in a cool place for an hour.

  • Then use a tablespoon to form hemispheres and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake the snowballs at 180 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat (160 degrees Celsius fan oven) for about a quarter of an hour.

  • After the tender snowballs have finished baking and have cooled down a bit, you can dust them with icing sugar on both sides.
