(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, NOVEMBER 21 - The nutritional labeling on the front of the package must be "simple" but "not simplistic", "free of value judgments", with "information on calories and nutrients per serving", and "take into consideration the criteria that guide the choice of nutrients and other non-nutritive components of foods".
23 MEPs from all political groups ask for it in a letter sent to the representatives of the European Commission Frans Timmermans and Stella Kyriakides.
For Italy, the letter is signed by 9 MEPs of different colors and by the Confederazione Italiana Agricoltori (CIA), Confagricoltura and Federalimentare.
