Schizophrenia: a father's fight to change his view of his son's illness

Former soldier and photographer, Geoffroi Caffiery, 60, lifts the veil on the schizophrenia of his thirty-something son in a beautiful series


From the entrance, we see a slender, dark-haired man with dark eyes, shirtless.

"A handsome guy," said one of the visitors next to us.

This handsome guy, we will call him Luc

Luc is 31 years old and has schizophrenia, a chronic mental illness that was diagnosed to him twelve years ago.

Luc is the main object of attention of his father, Geoffroi Caffiery.

He is also the main subject of the exhibition "Say Papa, now I'm no longer afraid outside" which is being held until November 23 at the Edmond-Rostand media library in Paris (17th century).
