The reporter stands in the midst of a small herd of elephants and begins his report on climate change.
"They say charity starts at home and for these young orphaned elephants this foundation is what they call home".
As he speaks, the pachyderms move closer and closer to him.
"In the face of increasing drought, it is up to us to be sentinels of our own world," he continues.
He bravely ignores the fact that a particularly curious animal sticks its trunk almost in its ear.
The trunk moves on and takes a close look at Kaunda's head.
The reporter stays focused, wants to get his reportage done and pulls himself together.
But he didn't expect the vehemence of the elephant lady named Kindani, as the video shows.
