After the heavy snowfall in Sweden in the past few days, almost 10,000 households in the south-west of the country were without electricity in the afternoon.

As a result, several schools in Kalmar County had to close.

Health centers could not be operated, as reported by the Swedish television station SVT.

In order to find the fault in the line, the operator E.on wants to use a helicopter.

A spokesman could not say how long the failure would last: “It takes time to find the fault on foot and with a tracked vehicle in 40 to 50 centimeters of snow.

It will be easier with the helicopter.«

On Monday there was chaos on many roads in Sweden because of the snow masses.

Trains, buses and flights were delayed or canceled altogether.

There were still delays on Tuesday.
