Twenty months of disqualification for the blue swimming, Simone Sabbioni.
It is the provision issued by the National Anti-Doping Prosecutor's Office, as competent authority for the management of the results, against the swimming pool champion who must serve the stop for the violation of article 2.4 of the anti-doping sporting code, or three missed doping checks (or missed whereabouts notices).
Sabbioni, who has plea bargained, must serve the disqualification until 22 November 2023.
All sporting results obtained by the athlete after 23 March 2022 are invalidated: medals, points and prizes are also cancelled.
Sabbioni, born in 1996, a backstroke specialist, won among others a bronze at the World Championships in short course, a silver and a bronze at the European Championships and collected twenty Italian titles.
