(ANSA) - KIEV, NOVEMBER 22 - Heavy fighting is underway between Russians and Ukrainians on the Kinbourne peninsula, a territory on the left bank of the Dnipro River, south of Mykolaiv.
The spokeswoman of the Ukrainian army's Southern Command Natalia Goumeniouk said that "a military operation is currently underway in the peninsula but no details are being provided for the moment".
Governor Vitaly Kim said the Ukrainian units are trying to free three towns a few kilometers from the southern city of Mykolaiv, 'then the Russians will be out of the entire district', reported Espreso TV. (ANSA).
