The Chicago Bulls, aided by 28 points from DeMar DeRozan, ended the Boston Celtics' nine-game winning streak in the NBA with a home win (121-107), while the Warriors lost heavily, in their 10th loss this season.

Zach LaVine, out in the closing minutes of the Bulls' loss to Orlando (108-107) on Friday, scored 22 points.

Nikola Vucevic added 12 and 13 rebounds for Chicago.

With 13 wins and four losses, Boston still holds the best record in the NBA.

Jayson Tatum scored 28 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out seven assists.

Celtics' other star Jaylen Brown added 25 points and seven rebounds.

Without their stars, the Golden State Warriors suffered another heavy knockout in New Orleans (128-83), just 24 hours after getting their first road win of the season in Houston.

Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins were all out with various injuries.

Kevon Looney was therefore the only real owner of the Warriors and the Pelicans, driven by Brandon Ingram's 35 points, took full advantage of Golden State's weakness, only 11/i in the Eastern Conference.

In Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 37 points as he led the Bucks to a 119-111 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, who lost star Damian Lillard with a calf injury.

On the East front Milwaukee is just behind Boston with 12 wins and four losses.

In Cleveland, Donovan Mitchell scored 29 points and Darius Garland added 26 in the Cavaliers' win over the Atlanta Hawks (114-102).

In the West, the Clippers signed a good home performance by overcoming the conference leader, the Utah Jazz (121-114), despite the absence of Paul George and a decent Kawhi Leonard (8 points in 23 minutes).
