On Wednesday 23 November, on the occasion of the inauguration of the 2022/2023 academic year of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, an honorary degree in Sciences of Antiquity will be conferred on Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, President Emeritus of the Pontifical Council for Culture and President of the Pontifical Commission of Sacred Archaeology.
The inauguration ceremony will open at 9.45 am in the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio with the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by the Archbishop of Milan Monsignor Mario Delpini.
At 11.30, in the Aula Magna of the Catholic University (largo Gemelli, 1 – Milan), after the intervention of the Minister of University and Research Annamaria Bernini, the Rector Franco Anelli will deliver the inaugural speech, at the end of which will follow the institutional greetings of Monsignor Mario Delpini,
as President of the Giuseppe Toniolo Institute of Higher Studies, founding body of the University, and of the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala.
