On the occasion of the International Day against Violence against Women, the Marisa Bellisario Foundation presented a preview of the video clip 'Love doesn't work like this' by Valentina Ambrosio, during a press conference in the Chamber which was attended - in addition to the president of the Lella Golfo Foundation and to the author and interpreter of the piece - the MPs Chiara Appendino of the M5s, Elena Bonetti of Italia Viva, Chiara Colosimo of Fratelli d'Italia, Catia Polidori of Forza Italia, Simonetta Matone of the League and Lia Quartapelle of the Democratic Party.

'This year our contribution against violence against women goes through a song because we want the message not to end in one day but to accompany and remind all women, every day, that from suffering, abuse and humiliation one can emerge stronger than before - said Golfo - Laws are important, punishments too but to stop an intolerable phenomenon we must act first of all on the country's culture and on women's awareness, helping them to be independent, psychologically but also economically '.

'This November 25 - concluded the president of the Bellisario Foundation - I want to dedicate it also to the women who struggle every day risking their lives: to the Iranian, Afghan and Ukrainian women.

Because the death of a culture that wants us as men want passes through their courage.

From their battles a world can be born in which rights have no gender'.

The event was also attended by MEPs Tiziana Beghin of the M5s, Cinzia Bonfrisco of the League, Alessandra Moretti of the Democratic Party, Luisa Regimenti of Fi and the State Police.
