Thirty years after its release, the sulphurous book
Sex
is back: dedicated to a Madonna more erotic than ever, this series of photographs, signed by the American Steven Meisel, caused a scandal in 1992. The book is now reissued by Saint Laurent Rive Droite published by Callaway, and is combined with a charity exhibition, which will take place from November 29 to December 4 during the Art Basel+ fair in Miami.
For the occasion, the 64-year-old star staged herself through a video she posted on her Instagram account.
She appears there dressed in a half-bush corset and fur, lit by candlelight.
Erotic and charitable
The exhibition, designed by Madonna and Anthony Vaccarello, artistic director of Saint Laurent, will therefore give rise to the reissue of this mythical work printed in 800 copies, including a limited number signed by Madonna.
Proceeds from the sale of the books, via auction, will be donated to the artist's charity, Raising Malawi.
The pictures will be presented free of charge to the public (from 18 years old), before also being offered for sale.
