(ANSA) - TEHRAN, NOVEMBER 23 - "A British-Iranian citizen, who represented one of the main links between the BBC terrorist and dissident networks and Iran International in London, was arrested in Isfahan by the intelligence services of the Revolutionary Guards".
This was reported by Fars citing an "informed source".
The arrested person, born in Great Britain, is "involved in the protests in Iran", which erupted two months ago after the death of Mahsa Amini during his arrest, adds the agency close to the Revolutionary Guards.
The arrested with dual nationality "has direct family ties with some reporters from the BBC and Iran International, in the province of Isfahan, and has also collaborated with some anti-revolutionary elements outside the country", added Fars.
According to the same source, the arrested person "had taken various initiatives to encourage people to civil disobedience, to revolt, to create insecurity, sabotage and destruction of public property".
