The station stands for successful and exciting series that are produced to a high standard.

That's why The Last of Us fans are excited as HBO adapts the game as a series.

The first season is already in the starting blocks: On January 15, HBO will broadcast the first episode.

When and where can "The Last of Us" be seen in Germany?

"The Last of Us" runs in Germany on Sky and WOW

Fans don't have to worry that the series will be released late in this country.

Just one day after the US premiere, on January 16, "The Last of Us" also starts in Germany.

The broadcasting rights are held by Sky.

The series can therefore be seen on the Sky Atlantic channel or via the corresponding package on WOW.

Season 1 of The Last of Us will have nine episodes.

It is not yet clear how many seasons will follow.

According to reports, the series adaptation could consist of a total of eight seasons.

The Last of Us series will take some liberties, but will largely retell the story from the games.

The main roles are taken on by two stars that series fans already know from "Game of Thrones": Pedro Pascal portrays Joel, while Bella Ramsey slips into the role of Ellie.

Season 1 will be based heavily on the first part of the game series, but some deviations are to be expected.

Neil Druckmann is also involved in the adaptation of the series - he has worked as a writer and creative director on the games and will certainly ensure that the adaptation meets the expectations of The Last of Us fans.
