Calling all stakeholders together to take stock every year of the state of the country's economic, professional, social, physical and mental "energies".

The establishment of a National Energy Day is the first of the five proposals of the Manifesto to overcome the energy crisis which will accompany the inaugural convention of the Guido Carli Foundation on 2 December in Rome, at Villa Blanc, dedicated to the theme "Courageous energies. Forces that make the world move."

The document, reads a note, is the contribution of ideas in support of government action offered by the Foundation, together with representatives of institutions, the world of business, culture, health and sport who will meet during the appointment.

    "I wanted to address the current issue with a holistic approach, which knows how to look not only at energy as a primary economic asset, but also at the energies necessary for a just and inclusive ecological transition, which leaves no one behind", explains Romana Liuzzo, President of the Guido Carli Foundation.

"My dream is the birth of a National Energy Day that is preceded by territorial assemblies, a sort of "general states" that could start from the main cities, starting with Rome and Milan. To overcome the tragedy of the pandemic, Italy has fielded and demonstrated its best qualities to the world. I am convinced - she underlines - that even in the face of this new crisis, with the war that has returned to bring ruin and destruction to the heart of the Old Continent,

we will give our best.

It is enough to know how to draw from the wealth of 'generative forces' present in all areas, which have allowed us to grow by 6.6% in 2021 and to close 2022 presumably at 3.4%: solidarity, collective intelligence, skills, innovation, responsibility, inclusion, Europe.

The words and values of my grandfather, Guido Carli".

The Manifesto, which will be discussed at the Convention, is divided into five proposals.

A National Energy Day

1) The energy issue affects different but deeply interconnected aspects: the economy, national security, technological replacement, social transformations, new skills and the training system.

The ecological transition placed at the center of the country's development by the Pnrr and the Next Generation EU requires a holistic approach.

The first proposal is to set up a National Energy Day, in which to gather all stakeholders and take stock of the state of "energy" in the country every year.

Renewable energies

 2) The drive towards renewable energies, together with energy saving and the circular economy, has been accelerated by the war in Ukraine, because the costs of our dependence on Russian gas have emerged clearly.

Wind, photovoltaic, geothermal, biomass and hydrogen still have enormous growth margins in Italy.

The second proposal is to draw up a powerful plan of regulatory and administrative simplifications to facilitate and speed up investments in renewable energy projects and the country's "green leap".

Network energies

3) To ensure greater stability for renewable sources, the development of innovative technologies is absolutely necessary.

In the meantime, Italy cannot do without gas and infrastructure, such as regasifiers, capable of replacing supplies from Russia and filling stocks.

The third proposal is to bet without hesitation on the infrastructural networks which are indispensable for guaranteeing our energy security.

Professional energies

4) The ecological transition requires specific professional skills to be fully implemented, both in the public administration and in the private sector.

The new green professions are already highly sought after and often unobtainable.

The fourth proposal is to invest in education, with particular attention to STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), and in the connection between the training system and the world of work in order to have all the professional energies needed for the green transition.

social energies

5) The ecological transition is a change that involves sacrifices and profound social transformations.

This is why it is essential to pay particular attention to the well-being of organizations and individuals, starting with the very young, so that no one is left behind.

The fifth proposal is to adopt a multi-year national plan for mental energies, which contemplates the expansion of access to mental health care, the activation in schools and workplaces of psychological support and listening paths, the promotion of sport as a formidable tool for physical and psychological well-being.

The Convention of 2 December - awarded the Medal of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella - will be opened by President Romana Liuzzo, followed by the institutional greeting of the Minister of the Interior,

Matteo Piantedosi, and the start of the works by Gianni Letta, honorary president of the Guido Carli Foundation.

There will be three main moments of the convention: the first, dedicated to "Crisis and innovation", will have Claudio Descalzi, Eni's managing director, as the protagonist;

the second, "Editorial movement", foresees a face-to-face meeting between Urbano Cairo and Gentili;

the third, "Pro-positive energies: between ethics and development", will see the moderator lead a debate with Domitilla Benigni, Ceo & Coo Elettronica, the psychiatrist Paolo Crepet, Sergio Dompè, president of Dompè Farmaceutici SpA, Luigi Ferraris, managing director of Ferrovie dello State, Stefano Sala, managing director of Publitalia '80, and Giovanni Malagò, president of Coni.

The event will also be broadcast in live streaming on ansa.it, courier.it,
