The largest beverage manufacturer in Germany, Coca-Cola, sorts out and announces price increases for mid-2023.

Read here what this means for consumers in supermarkets and discounters.

Munich – Rewe is missing chocolate bars from Mars, Sheba and Whiskas for animals and corn flakes from Kellogg's.

At Lidl, brands from Müllermilch and proof villages Nivea have already been sorted out.

At Kaufland, customers can only buy remaining stock from Ritter Sport, and beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola has long since stopped delivering to Edeka.

In addition to the lemonade of the same name, other brands of the company such as Sprite, Fanta or Fuze Tea are also affected.

The sales slogan "The customer is king" has long been obsolete.

When shopping, consumers are increasingly looking at empty shelves, searching in vain for their favorite chocolate and drink in supermarkets and discounters.

This is due to price disputes between manufacturers and retailers.

The Lebensmittel Zeitung (LZ)

is now reporting

that Coca-Cola will most likely intend to raise prices again in the new year.

What effects this could have on the range in retail cannot be predicted at the moment.

But this much is certain, the announcement should again cause trouble in the German retail trade.

Coca-Cola sorted out: Alcoholic mixed drink brand Topo Chico is thrown out in stores

In addition to price increases, the beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola has now also announced that it will take the popular Topo Chico brand mixed drink off the German market.

The alcoholic canned drink is apparently not well received by customers in this country.

Sales will be discontinued, reports the

LZ

.

Consumers in Great Britain and the Netherlands seem to like it, and Topo Chico should at least continue to be available there for friends of mixed drinks.

The ready-to-drink combination of whiskey and cola is to be launched next year.

Coca-Cola recently argued with the supermarket chain Edeka about price increases.

As a result, the dispute ended up in court.

Now there is apparently an agreement between the beverage giant and the retailer.

"We have been accepting orders from Edeka again since today, and the first deliveries will then take place at the beginning of next week," the LZ quoted a spokeswoman for Coca-Cola as saying on Friday (November 25).

The news should please customers in particular.

But also at Edeka for relief in the current Christmas business.

Because now there is a chance that customers will soon find Coke, Fanta and Co. on the shelves again.
