Many celebrities congratulated the couple, who married with great fanfare in October 2021, like fashion designer Vera Wang or models Martha Hunt and Karlie Kloss.
Event planner Marcy Blum also commented, "I'm ecstatic for you, we need wonderful people to have wonderful children."
Grandmother-to-be Melinda Gates meanwhile wrote, “Couldn’t be more excited to meet this little one and watch you both become parents.”
She herself had her first child, Jennifer, two years after her marriage to Bill Gates, to whom she had said yes on December 31, 1994 on the island of Lanai, Hawaii.
A son, Rory, and a second daughter, Phoebe, arrived in 1999 and 2002.

A divorce and an engagement
But thirty years after their first meeting, in May 2021, the Gates spouses divorced.
A year before the announcement of their separation, Jennifer Gates had announced her engagement, with the emeritus horseman Egyptian Nayel Nassar, aged 30 years.
The lovebirds, who share a common passion for horseback riding and a degree from Stanford University, married with great fanfare on October 16, 2021, at Jennifer's $ 16 million (15 million euros) horse farm - offered by his parents.
They met at an equestrian competition in 2016.
