The Sino-Canadian singer and actor Kris Wu, a huge star in China, was sentenced to 13 years in prison, in particular for rape, according to a judgment delivered on Friday, a case which had caused a scandal in the country.
The 32-year-old artist was sentenced to "11 years and six months' imprisonment for rape", according to the judgment of the Chaoyang District Court in Beijing, which added that he "was also sentenced to imprisonment for one year and 10 months for the crime of gathering persons with a view to committing adultery” and would be expelled at the end of his sentence.
