(ANSA) - VARESE, NOVEMBER 25 - Varese will bid farewell to Roberto Maroni, former Minister of the Interior, former governor of Lombardy and federal secretary of the party in 2012 and 2013, who died on Tuesday at the age of 67.
The city centre, where the Basilica of San Vittore is located, is cordoned off and closed to the public for state funerals.
Citizens will be able to watch the funeral from a big screen that has been set up for the occasion in Corso Matteotti, a stone's throw from the basilica.
At the funeral the general staff of the League, with the secretary Matteo Salvini, as well as the representatives of the government and the premier Giorgia Meloni.
Also present was Ignazio La Russa, president of the Senate.
