The 22-year-old pilot is angry: why do they always think I'm a flight attendant? - Walla! tourism

Sabrina shared her insult online that her colleagues who work at the airport think she is a flight attendant: "It annoys me because they should know what a squadron uniform looks like"

A Day in the Life of Airman Sabrina Johnson (@sabrinaleej)

Pilot Sabrina Johnson uploaded a video to Tiktok in which she revealed how a worker at the airport where she was supposed to board the flight sent her on the plane as a flight attendant and not as a pilot.

In a video that has gained 2.5 million views, the young pilot, only 22 years old, filmed herself in the cockpit with an embarrassed and offended look on her face.

Sabrina explained that the man who was in charge of the plane's gate assumed she was a flight attendant and she claims people make this mistake all the time when they see her on the plane and don't believe she's the pilot.

In the caption of her video, Sabrina wrote: "The man who let people in at the gate looked me in the eyes today and asked if I was the flight attendant. It's jarring to me because they work at the airport, they're supposed to know what a flight attendant's uniform looks like compared to an air hostess."

Why is it difficult to be a pilot at the age of 22?

And why are people afraid of a 22-year-old pilot?

Sabrina seemed quite offended by this misconception and her followers expressed empathy in the comments, with one of them writing: "This is unacceptable!".

"As a flight attendant, I feel bad for you. They know what uniforms we have," wrote another commenter.

Another went a step further and wrote to her: "Ask them if they were drunk during the shift."

Other responders claim that they had a similar sexist experience in their workplace when one of them wrote to her: "I'm a software engineer and all the time men assume I'm a designer. It happens all the time."

After receiving hundreds of angry comments, Sabrina uploaded another video in which she clarified the message she wanted to convey: "It's not an insult to be called a flight attendant. It's an insult that people try to take me down after all the hard work I've put in. When they do that, they insult both me and the flight attendants." .
