A month before Christmas, Danish toymaker LEGO is releasing its latest tallest set ever: a 1.49m Eiffel Tower.


It is the most photographed monument in the world.

From its height of 330 meters, the Eiffel Tower has fascinated and attracted attention since its inauguration at the Universal Exhibition of 1889. This year, the Danish toy giant, LEGO, once again tackled the Iron Lady ( after a first version in 2007) releasing this November 25, its latest model, more realistic and even bigger.

From its height of 149 cm, the Eiffel Tower LEGO version even becomes the most imposing creation in the manufacturer's catalog, by its size and the number of parts (10,001 bricks precisely).

For big LEGO enthusiasts, an appointment was made this Friday morning, in front of the LEGO Store des Halles in Paris, to be the first to leave with the imposing box, autographed by its designer, Rok Žgalin Kobe, present in the store. Parisian.

"I'm a fan of LEGO, I'm Parisian, I love Paris... So obviously, buying the Eiffel Tower was obvious to me," smiles Jérôme, a collector of monuments made from LEGO bricks for over 20 years old, who did not hesitate to pay 649 euros for the occasion.

"I'm going to put this one next to the Titanic, in the window of my bakery",

With its ten thousand pieces, the set allows an almost identical reproduction of the famous wrought iron tower.

The framework, the three observation platforms, the elevators, Eiffel's office on the top floor, the landscaping, up to the television mast.

“To design this latest model, we wanted to be as realistic as possible.

Due to its size, it was necessary to draw inspiration from the plans of the real Eiffel Tower for the structure to hold perfectly,” explains its designer Rok Žgalin Kobe.
