(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, NOVEMBER 26 - "Germany will give another 15 million euros to support new shipments of wheat from Ukraine, in coordination with the United Nations World Food Programme".

This was announced by the German chancellor Olaf Scholz speaking at the 'Grain from Ukraine' summit organized by Kiev to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor, the famine that devastated the country between 1932 and 1933.

The chancellor said a Berlin-sponsored ship is already on its way to bring Ukrainian grain to Ethiopia.

"Today - he added - we affirm together that hunger should never again be used as a weapon".
