The five members of a family from Casamicciola terme whose home is located in the red area of via Celario hit by yesterday's disastrous landslide are still missing.
Gianluca Monti, a taxi driver, with his wife Valentina and their three young children have been reported several times over the course of the hours first as dead and then as found, but according to the rescuers they are still officially missing.
Yesterday morning some relatives, despite the danger of the area and the mud that continued to descend from Mount Epomeo, managed to reach Monti's home and verified that the kitchen and living room area was intact but that of the bedrooms was completely submerged in mud and debris.
One of the relatives went to the roof of the house and called by voice, but there was no answer.
Then he tried the telephone, which rang: from outside it was possible to hear the ring, but even in this case no one answered.
Furthermore, a horse owned by the family, which was kept in the garden, was found dead downstream, dragged by the mud.
Among the missing are also a married couple, Michele Monti and his wife, Gianluca's uncles and neighbors.
