The city that never sleeps is full of shiny, metallic and shiny hotels.

Those that seemed to have been glued to the city from some other universe.

The "Sol" hotel in Tel Aviv is the furthest thing from that possible.

The hotel is rooted in the city, in its roots and history, gently and carefully designed by the architect Dan Truim, and gives a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Sol is housed in a building from the 1940s, which used to be an office building and was converted into a hotel with 34 rooms of various sizes, spread over four floors.

The rooms have small balconies overlooking the street and a wide roof where you can lie down to sunbathe during the day and enjoy the breeze in the evenings.

The first thing you will notice when you enter the hotel is the silence.

The hotel, located on Tschernihovsky Street not far from the busiest streets, such as Allenby or Dizengoff, manages to separate itself from the noise and bustle outside and provides a pleasant and romantic experience.

With pleasant and pastoral rooms, beautiful and green wooden balconies and plants emerging from all sides - the atmosphere of calm in the hotel surrounds from all directions.

London vibe in Tel Aviv

But don't worry, we know you didn't come to Tel Aviv just for peace.

Sol Hotel cleverly manages to distill many elements of the urban experience into it.

The atmosphere of the city is already felt at the entrance to the hotel, which passes through its cafe.

And there is nothing more Tel Aviv than a cafe.

The atmosphere of the cafe is warm and pleasant.

With books and brown leather armchairs, almost a London vibe.

The cafe is open every day of the week, even for those who are not hotel guests.

Therefore, even if you have not booked a night, it is recommended to spend it and indulge in delicious pastries or sandwiches from "Raviva Wasilia".

The cafe also serves the hotel's breakfasts, which does not offer lunch and dinner.

From here the guests continue to the stairwell where the beauty of the preserved Tel Aviv building can be seen.

The walls of the stairwell are decorated with the works of Tel Aviv artists.

Also notable in terms of the connection to the city are the hotel's collaborations with the "Hauzen" bar, which also include intimate performances by artists.

Finally, on the last floors you will find the balcony and the roof, open for free to all guests.

The balcony is used as a lounge for pleasant entertainment.

You can find coffee, beers and wine there, and sometimes artists will be hosted there for performances.

The area, decorated with white couches and lots of green vegetation, also offers guests board games, a projector screen, Wi-Fi and desks.

On the roof floor you will find sunbeds for a pleasant sunbathing and mattresses for the many yoga and pilates classes provided by the hotel.

Tel Aviv, did we already say?

Green hotel

"Sol" is a green hotel in two ways.

First, the vegetation.

The green surrounds the hotel from all sides and gives the feeling of a small and magical forest.

Anyone who has lived in a Tel Aviv apartment knows that there is nothing Tel Avivians love more than potted plants and greenery inside the house.

And this is exactly the feeling - vegetation and green and blooming, but still in an urban and young environment.

Secondly, the hotel complies with strict ecological standards, either by the fact that you won't find any single-use plastic in it (yes, even the soaps in the shower come in reusable containers), and the few disposable utensils that exist are only made from biodegradable materials.

Efficient and energy efficient air conditioning and water heating systems and windows with LOW E type thermal insulation to reduce electricity consumption were installed in the hotel.

The ecological thought is also connected to the green and modern atmosphere of Tel Aviv, and makes the hotel much more attractive.

literary touches

The hotel, which shares a name with the great poet of the street where it is located (the name of the hotel in English is Saul) makes sure to pay him respect in unexpected places.

The walls of the hotel are decorated with the poet's poems and even on the soap in the shower you will find a quote from the group of his poems "Poems for Elial".

The hotel, which is also decorated entirely with books, is therefore a must-visit for any lover of Israeli literature or poetry.
