Bernard Boulanger, founder of the household appliance brand of the same name with his brother Gustave, died on Friday, the company said on Monday, confirming information from the Voix du Nord.
The two brothers had launched their first radio repair shop in the 1950s in Lille.
“Boulanger, associated with the family, is sad to announce the death of its founder, Bernard Boulanger, at the age of 94,” the brand announced in a press release.
Bernard Boulanger founded the first store in 1954, "combining the sense of commerce with that of service", recalls the company.
The shop then offered to sell electronic products, such as radios and televisions, but also to repair them.
