This summer, when Cécile went to pick fruit and vegetables in her mother Brigitte's vegetable garden, in Seine-et-Marne, the ground was lined with small white capsules.
“In the middle of zucchini and raspberries, my mother had thrown her biodegradable coffee pods.
But after months spent outside, they hadn't dissolved into the earth at all,” observes this suburbanite, who herself makes it a point of honor to make her own garden fertilizer from organic waste.
