The new star of
The Crown
is Ed McVey.
This 21-year-old actor, mainly seen at the theater on the London stage, will take on the features of young Prince William, in season 6 of the show stamped Netflix.
The role seemed predestined to him as his physical resemblance to the heir to the throne is obvious.

The actor was spotted on his first day of filming on set for the Netflix series' sixth season in central London.
Visibly in a good mood, Ed McVey wore a blazer and black shoes, a khaki backpack, a blue shirt and beige chinos and held a bag of flowers in his hand.

In September, the actor was chosen to play a Prince William at the end of adolescence, in a season 6 which will retrace his meeting with Kate Middleton, interpreted here by Meg Bellamy, on the benches of the University of St Andrews.
Ed McVey will succeed comedian Senan West, who plays William as a teenager in season 5, and who is none other than the son of Dominic West, the interpreter of Prince Charles.
Actor Rufus Kampa, will also play the prince, when he must face the death of his mother Princess Diana.

The plot will kick off with the death of Lady Diana in Paris and was originally intended to cover the history of the Royal Family until 2003, with the deaths of Princess Margaret and the Queen Mother, but this finale has been pushed back to year 2005, to include the wedding of Charles and Camilla.
