Bekeshet International (KI) is currently developing a new drama series created by Yonathan Indorsky ("Shtisel"), co-produced with the Canadian Sixty-Six Media.
The limited drama, which is based on "Who's in the Fire", the book by Mati Friedman, and which is intended for broadcast in Israel and the international market, will be spread over six episodes and will deal with Leonard Cohen's concert tour in Israel in 1973.
Friedman's book, described as "a journey into the soul of one of the world's greatest songwriters", tells the story of one of the greatest moments in rock and roll history: Cohen's concert tour in Israel in 1973, during the Yom Kippur War.
As we know, following his visit to Israel Cohen released the considered album New Skin for the Old Ceremony.

Atar Dekel, KI's director of international co-productions, said in a press release: "Leonard Cohen's concert tour in 1973 was an extraordinary cultural moment, which inspired some of his most beloved works. We are excited to bring the true story to audiences around the world for the first time."

Yuval Horowitz, director of drama development at Besket, said: "We wanted to work with Yonatan Indorsky for a long time, and Mati Friedman's book is the perfect project for this collaboration."
The series is expected to start filming in about a year.
It is intended for broadcast on Bequest 12, and KI and Sixty-Six Media are also currently looking for an international broadcaster to partner with the project.
The "Mi Bash" production joins the line of co-productions of the Keshet group with international production companies, which are in various stages of development and production.
