(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, NOVEMBER 28 - Inflation in the euro area has not yet reached its peak and the risk is that it will grow even further than expected today.
This was stated by the president of the ECB Christine Lagarde.
"We don't see the components or direction that would lead me to believe we've reached the peak of inflation" which will decline from here.
"Every time I ask my economists at the ECB, the answer I get at the moment is that the risk is on the upside, without qualifying the upside".
