(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 28 - The increase in the flat tax threshold from 65,000 euros to 85,000 euros has been confirmed, starting from the 2023 tax period, but this increase "is subject to the release of a specific derogation measure by the competent European authorities This request, presented on 4 November, is currently being examined by the competent European authorities".
This is what we read in the explanatory report, as we read in the latest draft of the manoeuvre.
An EU directive already provides for the possibility of raising the ceiling to 85,000 euros but only starting from 2025. Italy is therefore asking for authorization to advance.
