The Kelly Family was a guest in Munich and brought Christmas magic to the Olympic Hall.

It's Christmas time in the Olympic Hall: artificial snowflakes gently trickle down onto the audience from the roof of the hall, and on Sunday evening (November 27, 2022) the remaining members of the Kelly Family celebrate a party for the whole family on the festively lit stage.

Maybe that's what we need in these difficult times: a bit of an ideal world.

The Kelly Family has just released the album "Christmas Party".

With a medley of US Christmas carols, Paul, Kathy, Johnny, Patricia, Jimmy and Joey get into this evening, which starts family-friendly at 6 p.m.

At their last guest performance in Munich, they were sold out on three evenings, says Jimmy Kelly.

"It's not sold out today.

But we're still in the game, and that's what counts.” They've recorded a new Christmas album, it's called “Christmas Party”, and that's exactly what they want to bring to the Olympiahalle on this cold November evening.

Of course, the Kelly classics should not be missing in Munich

The Kellys cheerfully mix classics like "Feliz Navidad" or "Last Christmas" into their own Christmas songs like "One more happy Christmas", "Peace on Earth" or "Those were the Days".

They also sing for their sister Barby.

Jimmy Kelly performs "Hold my Hand" for the singer, who died last year, in the glow of thousands of cell phone lights.

They are not only accompanied by an experienced live band, but also by two background singers, who perfectly balance out the decimated voices.

6000 people in the Olympic Hall sing with the Kelly Family

And for the 6,000 or so visitors, the motto is: sing along.

The Kelly Family sings several German Christmas carols, and the big and many small visitors join in with "Leise rieselt der Schnee" and "Every year again".

Despite all the Christmas spirit, the great Kelly classics should not be missing.

With "An Angel", "First Time" and "Fell in Love with an Alien" the hall becomes a big choir.

It is truly a celebration for the whole family.
