(ANSA) - ANCONA, NOVEMBER 28 - A lorry overturned and crushed a Red Cross ambulance and a car in the lane next to it in the opposite direction along the slip road connecting the Ancona Nord tollbooth and the SS76, in the territory of Falconara Maritime.
The 28-year-old ambulance driver and the patient transported died in the impact, while another Criche volunteer traveling with them was seriously injured and was transported to the Torrette hospital in Ancona.
The driver of the truck was unharmed but in a state of shock, while nothing is known about the conditions of another person, who was probably aboard the car, whose impact with the heavy vehicle was however less serious.
The junction was temporarily closed to traffic for rescue and surveys aimed at ascertaining the dynamics of the accident.
The fire brigade, the Anas teams, the traffic police and the 118 were on site. (ANSA).
