Seven o'clock stuck on a pylon.
This is the ordeal experienced by two occupants of a small plane on the night of Sunday to Monday near Washington, United States.
They crashed into power lines as they prepared to land near the incident site.
The plane remained embedded on an electricity pylon thirty meters from the ground, blocking its occupants and causing a massive power cut.
About 120,000 people were without power that evening and two hospitals were affected.
Rescuers were able to begin the rescue operation after a few hours, after they made sure the lines were de-energized and the plane was secure.
“Both patients were transported from the scene to area trauma centers with serious injuries,” said Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Chief Scott Goldstein.
For a resident present on the spot, the rescue of the two people was "a great moment" of emotion.
“I prayed for hours just because I wanted to see them come out alive.
It was my only hope,” she said at the end of the operation.
