Francesco Risso's art of living


A troublemaker in charge of creating Marni's collections since 2016, the Italian Francesco Risso has invented a colorful, arty and expressionist interior. Like the experimental fashion he designs for the Italian label.

Barely through his apartment door in Milan, a tidal wave of variegated frescoes, tangy panoramics and twirling friezes carries you away.

Whether it's graphics dimmed on the walls of the living room, horses galloping on those of the bedroom or frizzy door frames in the entrance, not a square centimeter escapes this ornamental wave.

“Since I was a child, I have been very attracted to painting and colors,

says the Italian designer.

The patterns and designs are emotional responses to my impulses.

So I had a lot of fun painting the walls of my interior, even if it took me a while to get the desired effect;

some sets having had to be redone several times before arriving at the final result.»
