The Israel Academy of Cinema and Television will for the first time award a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Children and Youth Television Awards ceremony, with the award going to Tzipi Shavit.
This morning (Tuesday) the Academy opened the registration for the young audience who will be invited to vote and influence the identity of the winners.
The announcement and distribution of awards will take place on December 29 at Meditech Holon, hosted by actor and content creator Eden Daniel Gabai.
The voice of the youth and children who will make up the audience will make up 50% of the decision alongside the members of the Academy.

The children's votes will be held in 8 categories: Best Drama Series, Best Comedy Series, Best Documentary Series, Best Magazine Show, Entertainment and Enrichment, Best Actor in a Drama Series, Best Actress in a Drama Series, Best Actor in a Comedy Series, Actress Best in a Comedy Series.
Tzipi Shavit has been active for four decades.
Already in her first appearance in 1979 with "Chipitpot" on educational television, she managed to conquer the hearts of children and parents alike.
In recent years, she has starred in many series, including "The Leaders", "Yoram the Wise in the Kingdom of Numbers" and more.
In 2020 she was invited to light a torch, and now, as mentioned, she also receives this honor from the Film and Television Academy.

Assaf Amir, the chairman of the Academy, said in a press release: "This is the second year we are holding an independent and separate ceremony for television work for children and youth.
This year we decided to add another layer to the ceremony and award a lifetime achievement award to a significant figure in the field.
We are happy to award it to Tzipi Shavit, who speaks to the children at eye level, often gets into their character and allows them to fully identify with her."
