Recession, IMF alarm: 'Next year in half of the EU'

"Half of the EU will be in recession next year".

This was stated by the president of the IMF, Kristalina Georgiova, in Berlin in a press conference with Olaf Scholz and the presidents of the main international economic institutes.

A third of the world will be in a recession, she explained.

"The forecasts of the slowdown in world growth for the third year in a row, forecast by the IMF, will come true", she added, stating that this will already be visible in the fourth quarter of this year.
