Preparation

How to prepare like in Italy: dreamy focaccia with minimal work?

  • 1 In a mixer with a kneading hook, mix flour, dry yeast, sugar and salt at low speed for about 5 minutes.

  • 2 Add olive oil and water in a thin stream and mix for about 5 minutes.

  • 3 Transfer the dough to a bowl well greased with olive oil and roll it in the oil.

  • 4 Cover with plastic wrap and leave to rise for about two hours at room temperature.

  • 5 After rising, take out the dough and give it another small massage to remove air and let it rise for another hour.

  • 6 Transfer the dough to a floured surface, put a little and divide it into equal balls.

  • 7 Line a large pan with baking paper and flour, place the balls on the tray, cover with a towel and let rise for another 30 minutes.

  • 8 Heat an oven to maximum heat on the grill mode with the oven tray upside down.

  • 9Open the dough with your hands into a focaccia shape, sprinkle durum flour on the focaccia, add cheeses and vegetables and place on the hot pan.

  • 10 Bake in the middle of the oven for about 7-8 minutes until a nice color is obtained.

  • 11 Remove from the oven, brush with a little olive oil and sprinkle with a little coarse salt.
