Also this month there are some innovations for consumers.

In our new series of pictures for December 2022, we will clearly show you what the citizens can expect now.

1 / 19Böller bans at the turn of the year?

In many places it gets louder again on New Year's Eve.

After people in Germany had to do without fireworks on New Year's Eve for two years because of Corona.

This year, neither a Germany-wide ban on sales nor a ban on gathering are foreseeable for New Year's Eve.

According to the Federal Ministry for the Environment, the decision to ban firecrackers on New Year's Eve lies with the cities and districts.

2 / 19Which firecracker rules apply in Bavaria?

In several major Bavarian cities, firecrackers are said to be banned again in certain zones on New Year's Eve.

Fireworks in Munich will not be allowed within the Mittlerer Ring.

In Nuremberg, the zones around the main market and the Kaiserburg are affected.

In Regensburg, there should be a ban on firecrackers throughout the old town on New Year's Eve.

In Augsburg it is not allowed to fire in front of so-called protective objects.

3 / 19 Ban on firecrackers: In Baden-Württemberg, too, some cities are planning a ban on firecrackers on New Year's Eve.

There is a ban on fireworks in the old town of Tübingen.

And a ban is also planned in Stuttgart.

In Berlin there should be a ban zone on Alexanderplatz.

The Berlin Senate wants to decide which zones will still be affected at the beginning of December.

4 / 19It has not yet been decided whether the Hessian city of Frankfurt will again allow colorful fireworks in public places at the turn of the year.

There should be no general ban in cities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

In Rostock, Schwerin, Greifswald, Stralsund, Wismar and Neubrandenburg, those responsible have so far only planned with the usual restricted areas around churches, hospitals, children's and old people's homes and other buildings at risk of fire.

5 / 19In Cologne, Düsseldorf and Bielefeld there should be no firecracker zones on New Year's Eve for safety reasons.

For Düsseldorf, for example, this applies to the old town.

The police union is in favor of a general ban on the private burning of New Year's Eve fireworks.

If only because of the enormous and completely unnecessary production of pollutants and the mountains of garbage on the streets on New Year's Day.

6 / 19Deutsche Post will discontinue e-mail for private customers on December 1: After twelve years it will be over.

Previously, users could create and send the letter online or via an app.

The post office printed out the letter, put it in an envelope and stamped it.

It was then sent to the recipient by normal mail.

7 / 19Digital letter communication should continue to exist for business customers.

At the same time, cooperation with the e-mail providers "GMX" and "WEB.de" will be intensified.

Together with Deutsche Post, they will in future offer a new way of sending letters digitally.

This service is also available for private customers and it is now only possible to send letters digitally via these two providers.

8 / 19If you want to take part in Deutsche Post's E-Postscan, you need a GMX or WEB.de account.

Information on this can be found on the website deutschepost.de.

Only the notification of the letter has to be activated in the respective account.

Until the end of December, users can send three letters per email account free of charge.

9 / 19Send Christmas mail on time: If you want to be sure that your presents will arrive on time by Christmas Eve, you should observe various deadlines.

You should send Christmas letters within Germany by December 22nd and Christmas parcels by December 20th, 2022 at the latest.

According to Deutsche Post, earlier deadlines apply to shipments abroad.

10 / 19Deadline for the voluntary tax return ends: Since you have four years to submit your voluntary income tax return, you can also submit 2018, 2019 and 2020 retrospectively.

The deadline for 2018 expires on December 31, 2022.

It is important that the documents are received by the tax office before midnight.

11 / 19Investors should also remember December 15: The application deadline for the loss certificate ends on this day.

You need this if you have deposits with different banks and want to offset realized losses from one deposit with profits from another.

12/19 Warning day on December 8th: The state is testing “cell broadcast”.

This will mean that you will receive a test warning by SMS on your mobile phone at 11 a.m. on the test warning day, provided you are logged into the German mobile network.

The cell broadcast should then start at the end of February 2023 and the police, fire brigade or weather service can send you a warning in an emergency.

13 / 19It would be best if you put December 8th on your calendar so that you don't get scared.

Because the warning lands on your mobile phone and automatically plays a loud warning tone.

At Apple, all smartphones from the iPhone 6s and the operating systems iOS 16.1, 15.7.1 and 15.6.10 should be able to process the warning.

Android devices from version 11 are ready for cell broadcast.

Even very old mobile phones can be warned at warning level 1.

14 / 19 From December 11th, rail travelers will have to adapt to changes.

Then the timetable will be changed to the so-called winter timetable.

The biggest changes primarily affect the route between Wendlingen am Neckar and Ulm.

In the future, passengers will be able to travel faster there, because a so-called high-speed route will be opened.

15 / 19Thanks to the new high-speed route, trains travel 15 minutes faster from Cologne to Stuttgart and Ulm to Munich and vice versa.

In addition, around 20 more trains are running on the route every day.

There will then be 90 trains per day between Stuttgart and Munich.

16 / 19More trains also mean more seats.

Up to 60 percent more seats are to be created on the routes from Bremen-Osnabrück-Münster-Cologne and Munich-Ulm-Stuttgart-Frankfurt Airport - on the one hand there should be more trains, on the other hand there should be line changes and the XXL ICE 4.

19 / 19The Law on Protection against Non-Ionizing Radiation in Human Treatment (NiSV) obliges beauticians to report to the competent authority, to provide documentation and proof of specialist knowledge.
